Projects

A project dedicated to providing a safe place of refuge for women and children escaping domestic violence, is a project that we can only wrap our arms around in full.

Wednesday 16th November 2022 marked a special day in the calendar for the Ruah Centre for Women & Children – the day that construction commenced.

This ground-breaking day is special, not just because our builder, ADCO, officially gets started, but because it is the beginning of a new place of hope, support and refuge for those who need it most.

As the first-of-its-kind dedicated centre in Western Australia, Ruah have poured countless hours of research into creating a place that not only welcomes vulnerable women and children, but gives hope during a time of utter desperation.

Their vision? That no woman is turned away from a safe refuge. That no child is left behind. That no woman should have to return to an unsafe and violent home.

This is the first step in realising that ambition.

And it is with the support of a number of incredibly generous philanthropists, many donors, Lottery West and the Department of Social Services that this vision is coming to life.

You, too, can be a part of it. Donate to the Ruah Centre for Women & Children here.
